After serving my community since 2010 in multiple ministries, I knew there was a need for a central location for people to come meet and experience God and the ways He has made us for more. To give away what was freely given to me. That is salvation. That is purpose, direction, and fulfillment of life. Our Mission Statement: COME To Jesus, GROW With Jesus and SERVE Like Jesus. We stand on three pillars at Life Recovery Church: To love God with all our heart , all our soul, and all our minds. (Matthew 22:37-38) To love our neighbors as ourselves. Michael Patrick Murtaugh is the Founder and Pastor of Life Recovery Church. An accomplished public speaker, ministry builder, ministry leader and author. Michael was born and raised in the Blue Collar City of Allentown, Pennsylvania. He founded Life Recovery Church in March of 2021 in hopes of filling what he saw as a dire need for bringing all of his ministries together into one central meeting place, a place that could become A HOME in his community of Cave Creek, Arizona. A HOME where Michael could more efficiently serve others through a Relationship With JESUS. After Michael got sober on 4-13-2010 he started to get deeply involved in community ministries, speaking, sponsoring and giving back by helping others who suffered just like he did. Michael immediately began to put into action and use his life and Church experiences plus his 400 classroom hours in leadership courses that he had taken over the course of his 34 year career in Resorts & Hotels to make a eternal impact in other peoples lives. Michael has founded a number of ministries, fundraisers, programs, and campaigns aimed at aiding those struggling with addiction and homelessness. Michael is a 2010 graduate of Calvary Addiction Recovery Center’s Christian Track, where he made the conscious decision to live by GOD’S Will and spread his word in service to others and went on to lead the following ministries: Homeless Ministry Founder and leader serving Central Arizona Shelter Services and the Andre House Founder and Ministry leader at Solid Ground Recovery Recovery Support Ministry leader at North Ridge Community Church Local & National individual and family recovery assistance Founder and Ministry leader of MADE4MORE.ORG, an organization designed to aid those struggling with addiction through public speaking and fundraising events. Founder of a Prison Ministry Outreach and Support Program. Founder of The Race For Recovery, which raises funds for those struggling with addiction and gives 100% of the proceeds to support and educate families of those who have loved ones still struggling. The race has raised over $190,000 to date, and every single penny has been donated. Michael has received his Certificate in Presentation Mastery from Toastmasters, a Certificate in Discipleship from Mission Grove Church, a Certificate in Biblical Studies from Arizona Christian University, and is currently pursuing an ongoing education at Dallas Theological Seminary. When he is not leading Life Recovery Church, Michael has and still delivers passionate and powerful presentations to high schools, Grand Canyon University, The Rotary Club, Churches, clubs, fundraisers, PAL Groups, halfway houses, rehab facilities, and other venues to bring Life Recovery through a meaningful personal Relationship with JESUS.
